From January 1 through September 30, 6,419 donors and their families selflessly gave the gift of sight. 7,612 tissues were provided for sight restoring transplants and 3,109 tissues were donated for research and educational purposes.

At 15, Gretchen Weng made the brave decision to be a donor, allowing her to restore sight to a 1-year-old and contribute her brain tissue and second cornea to research. Gretchen’s life journey, though brief, was marked by her courage and her commitment to making a positive difference.
