| View in browser Vol. 4, Issue 5 From January 1 through April 30, 3,539 donors and their families selflessly gave the gift of sight. 3,763 tissues were provided for sight restoring transplants, and 1,173 tissues helped to advance vision research and support clinical education and training. Global collaboration changes lives In February, a team of ophthalmologists and clinicians completed 88 cataract and pterygium surgeries for underserved patients in Guatemala. Nine patients received cornea transplants, made possible by the generosity of donors, their families and Eversight supporters.
